The list of things we can give to others can change a life, and even a destiny. Peace, hope, kindness, longsuffering and forgiveness are a handful of offerings we can easily give to others. It isn’t only a blessing to give these things, but to receive the same in our own times of need.

Even though we are all granted the same amount of time per day, every person’s situation is different because of the choices they make with the time they have been given. Onlookers can make snap judgements about whether someone is successful or not by seeing their belongings, their appearance and the job title they carry. However, the Bible speaks the truth about the deeper things that matter the most, and one of the key ingredients is time.

The privilege of every Christian is a hidden blessing that much of the world has not experienced before. It is the privilege of prayer. It is amazing to realize that the Creator of all that has been made takes the time to listen to His creation, and furthermore, wants to interact with mankind.

Loving and forgiving others doesn’t always feel like the easiest thing to do, but the Bible talks to us about both subjects, and how important they are in the life of believers.

If we are part of the family of God, we can think of ourselves as part of God’s “flower garden”. He’s already planted us, and we simply need to bloom to the best of our ability!

Much like our natural doctors, Jesus is only as capable of helping us as we allow Him to. There are many sin-sick souls that desperately need the touch of the Master, yet don’t want to surrender their own desires to Jesus. Our Lord never told us that necessary changes would be easy. He did, however, offer us power by being filled with His Spirit! Still, His power works when we are also doing our part to overcome the things that want to destroy us.

As Christians, we talk about Jesus as our Lord. However, do we understand what the definition of “Lord” is? In the natural, a lord is someone who has power over others, including authority and also control. Jesus Christ is the Lord of lords. His authority reaches beyond the rulings of those in power in the midst of mankind. He has the ultimate power and control.

All of us should take a few moments to reflect on our own relationships. Humility, forgiveness, compassion and repentance are all things that can aid us in the destructive little things we’ve allowed to linger in our hearts. When we decide to coincide no longer, healing, greater spiritual and emotional health, and stronger relationships will be ours to enjoy.

We may not realize that even the Bible itself mentions self-care a little bit. This goes beyond showering and fixing our hair, although those are important things too. It is necessary for our minds to have a time to rest. Emotional and mental stress affects us more than we might realize. When our minds are exhausted because of so many things that need done, we will experience a change in our actions. Many times, we will become short-tempered or lacking quality in our work. It isn’t our intention to change our behavior, but that is what happens when we aren’t taking time for ourselves.
