Life has a way of playing games on us sometimes. When we are living out our existence the way most others do, we overlook our individuality. Furthermore, as children of God, we fail to recognize that we always have something to offer others.

The desire of God is that we be changed, and the Word calls to us and pleads with us to be a living sacrifice in order for this to happen. As we surrender our own carnal, fleshly desires that we’ve known and practiced for many years, and allow the Bible to teach us God’s way of living, we will become the new creation our Savior wants us to be. Our minds need to be transformed and made new, and by the help of God, through His Spirit and His Word, our transformation will take place!

The truth of the matter is people are never going to be 100 percent in agreement with each other in handling this pandemic. However, in a time when people are desperate for relief, we don’t need to agree in order to be compassionate and caring. Our neighbor doesn’t have to think like us in order for us to wave hello when we see them or offer them a pot of homemade soup when we learn they are sick.

Perfectionism is not our friend. It’s time we throw that negativity away, get up, and get moving!

Human beings cannot attain the fullness of God’s blessings by trying to handle life by human understanding. The answer is still Jesus! His ways! We may not see our cities and countries change overnight, but we can do our part to make a difference in our home, our circle of friends and family, our workplace, our churches. May our influences reach those around us and help them see that Jesus is still the answer for them too. And may God give us a revival that impacts the globe. As His Word reminds us:

When we become aware of our sins and carnal ways through the Word of God, we must admit that “the shoe fits” in our lives, and we must decide whether we will work to overcome those things that rob us from having our best life in Christ.

As Christians, it is unwise to think we can choose which parts of the armor God has provided for us, rather than applying all of it to our lives. Leaving gaps in our armor give opportunities to the enemy to aim for the areas of our lives that are not protected.

That is why we trust, even when we don’t understand. As He continually shapes and molds us, we become individual masterpieces of the Master Potter who does all things well. As He sets out His carving tools, He may shave off an imperfection in one area, while using His hand to gently work an impurity out of another section. He knows when each area of His masterpiece is formed exactly as it pleases Him. The Master Potter has been working on the lives of human beings for thousands of years. He knows the touches we need better than we know ourselves. We can trust Him.

Serving the Lord calls us to conduct ourselves as a child of God. Our mission on Earth is to show Jesus to others. Every soul matters to Him. To offend a lost soul because of carelessness makes reaching his heart for Jesus nearly impossible.
